A clutch pedal that feels unusually soft or spongy may indicate a problem in a hydraulic clutch system. Air in the system, a fluid leak, or a failing master or slave cylinder can prevent pedal pressure from operating the clutch correctly.
You may also notice difficulty selecting gears, a changing engagement point, or a pedal that does not return normally. Adding fluid alone will not correct an underlying leak.
Contact Certified Transmission on 527 SW State Route 7 Highway in Blue Springs for an inspection. If the clutch will not release reliably, avoid driving the vehicle until the problem is assessed.
